December 2003 - Backed
by the experienced and talent of maestro Máximo Torres and
submerged in the nostalgic boleros of the 1950's, MANNY
MANUEL has returned to the studio to imprint his inimitable
interpretative style on his latest Universal Music Latino
release titled "SERENATA".
"SERENATA" is an exquisite compilation of 12 well reknowned
bolero tracks interpreted by MANNY MANUEL's unique sentimental
expression and embraced by the romanticism marked by the
trios era.
"Y...", "Bajo un palmar", "Amor por ti", "Miénteme", "Espérame
en el cielo", "Celos de ti", "Inconsolable", "Fichas negras",
"Alma adentro", "Besos de fuego", "Presentimiento" and "Alma
mía" make up this album's tracklisting where MANNY brings
in his interpretative spice.
"I'm
very satisfied with this new release especially with the
selection of these beautiful tracks that I've known since
early childhood through my parents and grandparents. I grew
up with this music and I can honestly say that this music
has contributed immensely to Manny Manuel, the interpreter.
The experience and knowledge of Máximo Torres, the maestro,
is a significant support in this project and once again
has instructed me in a genre which I adore and highly respect.
I am sure that listeners will enjoy this new musical proposal
as much as I have ..", expresses Manny during a recent interview.
His
8th release, in a very successful career, profiles a collection
of songs that will satisfy the most demanding taste. Experts
in this genre as well as new generations will undoubtedly
enjoy the magic and romaticism "SERENATA" will provide.
