October 2003 - With their explosive hit "La Bomba",
there was no dance floor they did not conquer. Now, their
new song, "Apretaito", from the same-name album,
in stores October 28, will have everyone dancing really
close.
The popular Bolivian group - Fabio Zambrano, Ricardo Fries,
and Rui Prado - returns to the music scene with an irresistable,
infectious song penned by Zambrana, who has also come up
with a very sensual, and very easy, dance to go along with
the music.
A video shot in Miami Beach by veteran director and photographer
Mariella Sosa, shows just how to dance "Apretaito".
According
to Zambrana, the origin of the dance goes back to Azul Azul's
shows, where there is never a lack of enthusiastic fans
who want to get up on the stage and dance. "And every
time that happens, they all dance really close together.
"So, I thought, why not come up with a song and a dance
that is called like what they are doing?"
Shot
in 35 mm film to give the clip the best look possible, the
members of Azul Azul can be seen dancing in "Apretaito",
as well as veteran video dancer Melissa Chiz, accompanied
by several other dancing couples.
Zambrana emphasizes that the dance steps for "Apretaito"
can be learned by anyone" "The choreography is
really easy. This dance is for everybody."
