He began singing and rapping at gatherings and various get togethers with his family and friends, enjoying performing more and more as he was exposed to it.

Entertainment was always a big part of Mikey's life. Since a very early age, Mikey was involved in numerous dance presentations, many featuring his choreography and organization.

This accomplishment showed Mikey's potential not only in dance, but also his originality in singing and rapping.
After various musical collaborations, Mikey formed Real-X Productions with the help of "El Doctor" in 1996. Mikey, by this time, had great experience as a writer and developed his career as a composer.

Singing has been a passion for Violeta since a very young age. Wanting to be involved in every aspect of performance, Violeta joined theatre productions and later became a member of a dance group, which won many important dance competitions including the opportunity to travel to Disneyland twice as special guests and performers.

Violeta joined Real-X through a stroke of good luck and timing and has been fully committed and active in the progression of the group since October 2001.

El Doctor, along with Mikey Brenes, is a founding member of Real-X. He is heavily involved in the executive and musical production of Real-X's projects and goals since it's creation in 1996 in Puerto Rico.

It all began in Doctor's home where a small studio produced its first recorded material, "Reality". This album included some of the hottest artists of its time as well as the collaboration of two established DJs and "El Padrino" providing his keyboard expertise.

The "Reality" album was a great learning experience and served as exposure into the music business. This lead to the creation of Shadow and the eventual addition of versatile artists to form the now Real-X family.

El Doctor has just completed his area of production for "Shadow, The Album" and has already begun working on Real-X's exciting new project "Legacy" as well as collaborating in Violeta's solo debut album.
